Job Description:

We are seeking a QA Engineer with strong fundamentals in testing web applications, REST APIs, Electron based desktop applications, and mobile apps. The role involves manual and automated testing, basic database validation, and fundamental security testing to ensure the reliability, performance, and safety of our products.

Role & Responsibilities

Perform manual and automated testing of web applications, REST APIs, and Electron-based desktop apps.
Validate session handling, user flows, authentication/authorization flows, and backend integrations.
Execute basic security testing checks, including input validation, session expiry, broken access control checks, and authentication flow validation.
Conduct basic database testing by validating CRUD operations, data consistency, and backend data mapping using MongoDB queries.
Create, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
Perform mobile application testing (Android/iOS) including UI/UX, functional, and regression testing.
Develop and maintain automation scripts for regression and functional suites (Selenium, Appium, or equivalent).
Analyse logs, inspect browser dev tools, network calls, and backend responses for debugging
Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams for smooth release cycles
Report defects with clear steps, logs, and supporting evidence.

Skills Required

Solid understanding of software testing concepts, STLC, defect lifecycle, and test design techniques.
Exposure to API testing using Postman or similar tools.
Basic familiarity with automation frameworks like Selenium or Appium
Understanding of database basics (MongoDB queries) for performing backend validation.
Awareness of basic security testing principles (e.g., input validation, session timeout, cookie handling, unauthorized access checks).
Understanding of browser developer tools, console logs, and network debugging.
Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
Good verbal and written communication/documentation skills.
Experience testing Electron-based applications.
Basic scripting knowledge in JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar languages.
Experience with cross-browser testing and responsive UI validation.
