We are looking for
a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Trainee Test Engineer to join our Quality
Assurance team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in software
testing, quality assurance processes, and product validation. The role offers
an opportunity to work closely with development and product teams while gaining
hands-on experience in testing web and mobile applications.
Roles &
Responsibilities:
- Execute test cases and validate application functionality against business requirements.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure closure of reported issues.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to understand requirements and testing needs.
- Prepare and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test execution reports.
- Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback from a quality perspective.
- Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) activities when required.
- Ensure adherence to defined QA processes and standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the testing team.
Skills Required:
- Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Understanding of functional and non-functional testing concepts.
- Knowledge of defect lifecycle and bug reporting practices.
- Familiarity with web and mobile application testing.
- Basic understanding of databases and SQL queries.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a collaborative environment.
- Exposure to testing tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Basic knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.
- Understanding of automation testing concepts and tools such as Selenium.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and browser developer tools.
- Awareness of performance and security testing concepts.
