Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Trainee Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in software testing, quality assurance processes, and product validation. The role offers an opportunity to work closely with development and product teams while gaining hands-on experience in testing web and mobile applications.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Execute test cases and validate application functionality against business requirements.
Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
Verify bug fixes and ensure closure of reported issues.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to understand requirements and testing needs.
Prepare and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test execution reports.
Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback from a quality perspective.
Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) activities when required.
Ensure adherence to defined QA processes and standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the testing team.

Skills Required:

Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Understanding of functional and non-functional testing concepts.
Knowledge of defect lifecycle and bug reporting practices.
Familiarity with web and mobile application testing.
Basic understanding of databases and SQL queries.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn quickly and work in a collaborative environment.
Exposure to testing tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Basic knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.
Understanding of automation testing concepts and tools such as Selenium.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and browser developer tools.
Awareness of performance and security testing concepts.
