Responsibilities:
The candidate will work in the Digital
Platform development area to build and test components of the product on a
cloud platform. The candidate will also develop analytical models using the
rich data ingested into the platform.
The candidate will be responsible for
application development tasks including building and testing web and mobile
applications on a cloud platform tailored to meet Caterpillar customer needs.
The candidate will work independently
within a platform or application team on programming and development
assignments in the cloud or on proof-of-concept projects involving innovative
ideas and emerging technologies.
The candidate is expected to learn new
technologies or tools and apply them to enhance the engineering process. The candidate will contribute to platform
or application development, testing and support activities.
Detailed Eligibility & Qualification:
The candidate should have completed at
least one year of postgraduate degree or three years of an undergraduate degree.
The candidate will maintain an academic score greater than 75% or CGPA above
7.5. The candidate must come
from Computer Science or Information Technology (CSE/IT) background.
It is
essential that the candidate
demonstrates a strong understanding of core computer science fundamentals i.e.
data structures and algorithms. The candidate
must also be proficient in at least one programming language in Java, Python,
C# or C++. In addition, the candidate
should possess solid UI/UX skills and the ability to work with both relational
and NoSQL databases.
The candidate should have a genuine
passion for technology and a desire to contribute meaningfully within a
collaborative and team oriented environment. Strong communication skills and
the ability to learn quickly are also critical for this role.
It would
be a plus if the candidate has
foundational knowledge of data engineering, data warehousing, and big data
concepts. It amiliarity with cloud-native tools from AWS or Azure would be
considered a valuable asset.
